What is it ?

Retinol 0.5% in Squalane by The Ordinary is a light serum in a squalane base with a compelling concentration of retinol to diminish the signs of aging.

Who is it for?

If you are looking to prevent or reverse the signs of aging including wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentation, dullness, texture etc., retinoids are the products for you. 

What are the key ingredients?

. Retinol: An ingredient with the most scientific research proving its effectiveness to reduce the signs of aging.

. Squalane: It is a plant-derived ingredient that is quite similar to our own sebum, and thus provides lightweight hydration without feeling greasy or clogging the pores.

. Apply 2-3 drops onto completely dry skin, in the PM before heavier serums, moisturizers and oils. 

. Avoid the eye area.

. In case of sensitive skin, start by using once or twice a week and slowly increase frequency, as your skin builds tolerance.

. Use sunscreen in the AM.

. May cause purging in some cases, which is normal. This will subside after 6-8 weeks. Discontinue in case of persistent irritation.
